Features of Lumia 1020, The 41MP Smartphone from Nokia

Much awaited flagship model smartphone from Nokia has been launched in India. Nokia launched Lumia 1020, the 41MP camera phone in the subcontinent at the Diwali season as its answer to the models launched recently by the competitors like Samsung and Sony. Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 4.5 inch wide AMOLED WXGA display which gives 1280X768 pixel resolution. It gives a pixel density of 334 ppi and also supports PureMotion HD+ technology. Nokia uses a tough polycarbonate body and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield in Lumia 1020 which ensures a scratch free look for a long time.

Nokia’s flagship model is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and is associated with 2GB RAM and it has an internal storage capacity of 32GB, but the memory couldn’t be expandable as it does not support external memory options. The new device operates on Windows 8 operating system and it gives users an option to download among 160,000 applications from Windows Phone Store. Lumia 1020 is packed with a 2000 mAh battery which can’t be removable and Nokia claims that it is capable to give 19.1 hours of talk time in the 2G network while 13.3 hours if it is 3G network. The standby time is closed to 16 days.

The major attraction of Nokia Lumia 1020 is its 41MP camera and is considered as one of the high end camera phone available. The gadget houses a stunning 41MP PureView camera with the power of Carl Zeiss Tessar Optics technology and the camera is boasting of six physical lenses with OIS (Optical Image Stabilizations) for giving users the ultimate framing experiences. The camera dimensions includes f2.2 aperture and 3X loss less zoom. The handset features two types of flash systems, Xenon flash for still images and a separate LED flash for recording videos. Lumia 1020 comes with a number of pre installed camera applications like Nokia Pro Camera, Cinegraph, Nokia Smart Camera, Photo Beamer and Nokia Glam Me Lens. It also have a front camera of 1.2 MP wide angle HD camera with 1280X960 pixel resolution.

The handset is available in three colours, White, Black and Yellow. Nokia Lumia 1020 is available in the markets across the country for Rs. 49,999.
