By getting a great customer appreciation on Canvas HD and Canvas 4, Micromax has now got a lot of confidence to extend their smartphone lineup. As a successor of Canvas A Doodle A111, Micromax is almost set to launch Canvas Doodle 2. The device is already listed in Flipkart with a “coming soon” tag but it does not gives any comment on the pricing or availability.
Reports says that Canvas Doodle 2 A240 will be an enhanced version of original Doodle A111, moreover it will be better termed as a phablet as it stands nearing to a tablet.
The new Canvas Doodle 2 will have a 5.7 inch HD display with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels. It is controlled by a powerful 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has 12 MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera. It contains 12GB internal memory. The Canvas Doodle comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by 2600mAh battery which will give 8 hours of talk time as per the detail of Flipkart listing. It is a dual SIM phone (GSM+GSM). It supports connectivity like EDGE, GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G. Canvas Doodle 2 A240 will have pre installed apps like M! Doodle, M! Live, M! Security, M! Zone, Hike, Spuul, Foneclay and Facebook.Canvas Doodle 2 supports stylus operations like Doodle A111. The device also supports functions like Smart Pause, Skitch and Blow or Shake to Unlock which are familiar to the users of Canvas 4.
Recently, Micromax teased its upcoming Canvas Doodle 2 smartphone on Facebook. A post from Micromax's official Facebook page displayed an illustration with tidbit of the promotional copy for the Canvas Doodle 2: "Draw, Depict or Doodle and let your thoughts come to life on a bigger Canvas. Canvas Doodle 2 - Coming Soon!"
