New Android 4.4 KitKat, A Review of Features

Google has unwrapped the latest version of android operating system for smartphones and tablets called Android 4.4 KitKat a couple of days back. Lenovo Announces New Android Laptop A10

Google owned the famous desktop and laptop operating system Chrome OS but they have developed a new operating system for smartphones and tablets called Android operating system. Then Google received a lot of questions from various parts that why they are not enabling the Android to work with PCs and laptops. Some manufacturers released some laptops which are compatible with Android but all of them were failed to receive customer notices.

As a move to change this scenario Lenovo launched a new laptop, A10 which is an Android Laptop. The new device bears a 10.1 inch HD touch screen and Lenovo describes it as an affordable, ultra portable, dual mode laptop. A10 is the first of its kind from Lenovo and the company is planning to extend its Android product line up by adding more models to it. The company is already entered into the segment of Android smartphones.

Lenovo A10 will operates on Android 4.2 OS and features an RK3188, quad core Cortex A9 processor capable to give a maximum frequency of 1.6GHz which is the highest frequency of a quad core ARM based system presently available in the market. Lenovo describes that the Cortex A9 processor delivers excellent performance for gaming and entertainments. The new model has ​2GB memory and 32GB built-in storage and supports microSD cards for expansion. Connectivity options include two USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0 and one HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) port. The new laptop-cum-tablet has a 0.3MP webcam and stereo speakers. Lenovo offers A10 is equipped with a high capacity battery which will give up to nine hours of video playback which ensures that the devices is upto the mark for both on the road and at the desk. Further the Lenovo A10 will be a light weight device as it is weighing less than 1KG and is measuring just 17.3 mm thickness. Micromax has taken the market strategy; it would develop more low cost smartphones and tablets and dominates the market segment by challenging the big players. Google Announced New Version of Android OS: KitKat

By surprising many geeks Google announces the next version of android Jelly Bean. The internet giant announced that the next Android 4.4 version will be named as KitKat like the iconic Nestle candy bar. But Google did not revealed further about what will be the attractions of the new version or when it will be launched out. The Nestle websitealso confirms this news that Google’s latest version of operating system will be named after the "popular chocolate and wafer confectionery" and the new KitKat website offers to "make an amazing Android experience available for everybody".

While knowing about the new move the technology communities have many doubts on the new cream baked by the two international giants. John Lagerling, director of Android global partnerships says that the name change decision came when Google "realised that very few people actually know the taste of a key lime pie", but many are going to see it as a marketing move.

Both the companies are already on the move to show the world the new strategies of marketing, they believe that this is a new opportunity to market a digital product along with a candy bar! Reports says that Nestle started production of 50 million specially branded KitKat candies and this will be entered into the stores with a number of prizes which gives the chocolate lovers a chance to win even a Nexus 7 and Google Play credits.

Nestle commented on the news that they are seeing this as a new strategy to incorporate digital technology with the consumer goods and thinks this move will help them to know consumers in more detail and to fix their preferences and to cater their needs. This information pointed out the chances of sharing customer data between the companies.  

Anyhow there is no doubt that this movement will cause for a new trend that we can witness the joint ventures of more corporates which are playing in different fields and the only doubt which raises here is who will gain the most from this venture, Google or Nestle and we need to wait for some time to know the result.
